The sun will pierce the cloud; I’ll want to laugh, be loud, And kiss my son, and sing, Joy to my husband bring. When by the stove, I’ll twirl, Like when I was a girl; My skirt will twirl as well. And many jokes I’ll tell, And they will all be silly: I’ll say things willy-nilly, And hope he finds them funny. My days will now be sunny, With skies bright blue and clear, My loved ones always near. I’ll bake a cake and dance, And give the film a chance That doesn’t seem that fun. When on a walk, I’ll run To feel completely wild. I’ll pray that one more child Soon joins us to make four. (And then I’ll pray for more.) I’ll share my love of stories And raise them with no worries. I’ll teach them how to read And watch my husband lead; My life will not be bleak, Because, to find - I’ll seek. There will be hard times, sure, But those I will endure. As long as he is near, The clouds will always clear.
